Members of the Union of Young Political Scientists of Ukraine conduct regular sociological researches in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine.
Street public opinion polls
As a rule public opinion polls conducted by our organization on a voluntary basis follow simplified methodology – excerpts represent city districts, age and gender stratification. These polls have legible practical result which represent actual situation within the problem field. However, the limits of questionnaire (which should contain no more than 5-6 questions for one respondent) make factor analysis impossible and considerably constrict cluster analysis.
Door-to-door public opinion polls
Door-to-door public opinion polls are conducted according to representative excerpt. They give rather legible results due to the decrease of systematic error. Since a questionnaire for these polls may be expanded, it is possible to carry out a deep analysis of the results. However, this type of opinion polls requires considerable organizational, time and human resources than street public opinion polls.
Expert opinion polls
These polls present opinions of journalists and representatives of non-governmental organizations specializing in certain problem field. Expert opinion polls are carried out by the means of telephone interview. Such surveys give an opportunity to study not the public opinion itself, but the opinion of those who substantially shape and influence public opinion.
